PCQI Online Training
The food industry can be a high-turnover environment. Ensure your company is prepared for an inspection by training multiple Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals (PCQIs) on GMPs, HACCP and risk-based preventive controls.
Who Should Take This Course?
This ten-module program is for anyone in the food industry who needs to be trained in the role and responsibilities of a Preventive Control Qualified Individual (PCQI).
PCQIs must be proficient in hazard analysis, risk-based prevention and control standards as required by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
ImEPIK’s course is not only based on the FDAās Standardized Curriculum, it was recently updated for the latest regulatory guidance and includes product-specific training scenarios.
A certificate of completion can be printed and downloaded for your records upon course completion.

Course Description
ImEPIKās course is 100% online, which means it can be taken from anywhere with a reliable internet connection, and at any time. The course is interactive and assessment-based and teaches employees what they need to know to comply with the law and produce high-quality, safe food for global consumers.

FSMA's Preventive Controls for Human Food Rule
117.180 (c) (1): āto be a preventive controls qualified individual, the individual must have successfully completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls at least equivalent to that received under a standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the FDA or otherwise qualified through job experience to develop and apply a food safety system. Job experience may qualify an individual to perform these functions if such experience has provided an individual with knowledge at least equivalent to that provided through the standardized curriculum. This individual may be, but is not required to be, an employee of the facility.ā
Each FDA-registered facility must designate a PCQI who is responsible for the development, oversight and management of the Food Safety Plan. The PCQI is required to have training and experience that exceeds existing HACCP-based systems.
ImEPIKās PCQI Online is based on the FDAās Standard Curriculum, but also includes product-specific content for those making baked goods, produce, dairy, cannabis-infused edibles or ready-to-eat to foods. No other PCQI course allows you to customize your course with content specific to the products you make.
